The time limit for issuing cross-provincial ordinary passports is 20 days.

In remote areas or areas with inconvenient transportation or due to special circumstances, the exit-entry administration of public security organs cannot issue ordinary passports within the above time limit. With the approval of the person in charge of the exit-entry administration of provincial public security organs, the time limit for issuing ordinary passports can be extended to 30 working days.

Citizens can apply for expedited ordinary passports under the following circumstances: going abroad to attend funerals or visiting critically ill patients; The entry permit or visa of the country of departure is about to expire; Go abroad urgently to attend the negotiation and signing of the meeting; The registration time for studying abroad is approaching, and the documents are lost and damaged before departure.

For those who have the above-mentioned emergency reasons, the exit-entry administration organ of the public security organ shall require them to submit corresponding materials. If approved, the issuance of ordinary passports shall be examined and approved within 5 working days.

Application material

2. Resident identity card and residence booklet and their copies; When collecting, redeeming or replacing resident identity cards, you can submit temporary resident identity cards, household registration books and their copies.

3. Citizens under the age of 16 should be accompanied by their guardians, and submit their opinions on leaving the country, resident identity cards or household registration books, passports and photocopies.

4. State functionaries shall, in accordance with relevant regulations and personnel management authority, submit the certificate that their work units or superior competent units have approved to leave the country.

5. Other materials required by the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the provincial local people's government after approval by the exit-entry administration of the Ministry of Public Security.
