Huaining County is located in the southwest of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and in the lower reaches of Anhui Province. It is adjacent to Yixiu District of Anqing City in the east, dongzhi county across the river in the southeast, Taihu County in the west, Qianshan City in the northwest, Wangjiang County in the south and Tongcheng City in the north across the river, with a total area of 1.276 square kilometers.
