What is the most racist country in Europe?
A survey published by the European Commission on Basic Human Rights on 20 15 shows that there are serious racial discrimination in many European countries, among which Italy, Hungary and France are the most serious, and Germany and Greece are also on the list. In Europe as a whole, more than 1/3 of immigrants said they were discriminated against.
It is reported that the Commission for Basic Human Rights of the European Union recently conducted a questionnaire survey on 230,000 foreign immigrants from 27 countries in the European Union called "Race and Xenophobia". The results show that Italy ranks first in the European Union in terms of racial discrimination, and 94% of North African immigrants, 77% of Romanian immigrants and 76% of Albanian immigrants think that they "feel racial discrimination" in Italy. The second place is Hungary, where 90% of gypsies feel discriminated against. The third place is France, and 88% of North African immigrants feel discriminated against. After that, the rankings were Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece and other countries. Germany ranks 16, and more than half of the Turks and 46% of the immigrants from the former Yugoslavia in Germany consider themselves subjected to racial discrimination. Even in Lithuania, which ranks last, there are 12% Russian immigrants who think they have been discriminated against.
According to the survey, many foreign immigrants in Europe believe that they are subjected to racial discrimination everywhere in their lives. 37% of immigrants in Europe said that they were discriminated against when looking for a job, going to work, finding a house and many public places. Gypsies and African immigrants feel this most. 1/3 of them often run into a wall when looking for a house, and many European locals regard them as "thieves". Even in Europe, discrimination is very serious. Western Europeans discriminate against eastern Europeans, and Baltic countries discriminate against Russian immigrants who are "old clubs". For example, in Britain and Ireland surveyed, 95% of local Central and Eastern European immigrants said that they had been discriminated against by their employers. For example, when encountering problems, many Western Europeans will scold them for "going back to your poor Eastern Europe".
The survey also shows that many foreign immigrants avoid going to specific places to prevent being attacked. If they are discriminated against and attacked, 80% of them are afraid to call the police. They think that "this is useless, because such attacks will always happen." 13 of immigrants think that calling the police will have a negative impact on themselves. Most racists will not be punished because they dare not report to the police.
