Does the rental contract need notarization?

Legal analysis: the rental contract does not need notarization. However, if a lease contract is signed, the lessor shall register for the record. According to the regulations, within 30 days after the conclusion of the housing lease contract, the parties to the housing lease shall go through the housing lease registration with the construction (real estate) department of the people's government of the municipality directly under the central government, city or county where the leased house is located.
