1. There is no need to notarize the driver's license in China. You need to bring both the original and the deputy certificates, and then go to the Immigration Bureau or the Ethnic Affairs Commission (tel: 1300 65 1500) to translate them, so you can drive on the road.

If you want to change your Australian driver's license, you should bring the required documents (student ID/passport/bank statement or telephone bill/China driver's license &; Apply to the nearest RTA (Road and Traffic Administration), and after passing the knowledge test and driving test, you can issue the corresponding Australian driver's license.

Students can drive all the time without changing their Australian driver's license, and if they are PR, they must change their Australian driver's license within 3 months after entering Australia.

It should be noted that Australian states have slightly different regulations in this respect.

2. In NSW, if you are under 25 years old, it will take 6 months for L to get the P 1 card, commonly known as red P. Then, when P 1 reaches 12 months, you can take P2, commonly known as green P. Finally, when P2 is 24 months old, you can get unlimited permission. Silver has not been detained excessively for five years, and you can get a gold license directly without an exam.

The above 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months are included, that is, you have to wait for this time to qualify for the exam.

China's driver's license has arrived, and he can immediately translate and drive on the road. Immigrants must get a new local driver's license within three months, which means the exam is coming. The driver's license for students or temporary visas can be kept until the visa expires.

If you have a three-year driver's license in China, you can take the road test immediately by passing the common sense computer test here and become a formal license directly; If you pass; If it exceeds 1 year but less than three years, it will become P2 after passing the road test; In less than a year, the passing of the road test can only be P 1.

The above is basically the local situation in NSW. Because I haven't paid attention to the domestic driver's license for a long time, I don't know if there are any major changes in the domestic driver's license. So there is no guarantee that it is realistic.
