What is the procedure for closing an account?

If you want to cancel your account, please apply to the local police station and go through the following procedures:

1, the death account is cancelled with the Household Register, Resident Identity Card and Medical Certificate of Death (rural certificate is acceptable);

2, the cancellation of the registered permanent residence of citizens, with the "household registration book", "resident identity card" and "notice of enlistment";

3. The cancellation of the residence account for going abroad shall be based on the certificate of going abroad and my "Household Register" and "Resident Identity Card".

4. After submitting the application materials, the staff of the Household Affairs Office will review and cancel the application according to the requirements, and those that do not meet the requirements will be returned.

If a citizen dies, the head of the household, relatives, dependents or neighbors shall, within one month before the city is buried, declare the death registration to the household registration authority and cancel the household registration. If a citizen dies in his temporary residence, the household registration organ of the temporary residence shall notify the household registration organ of the permanent residence to cancel his household registration.
