The power transmission and transformation system of Three Gorges Hydropower Station is built and managed by State Grid Corporation of China. It is expected to install 15 500 kV high-voltage transmission lines to connect to the regional power grid.

The dam elevation of Three Gorges Hydropower Station is185m, the storage elevation is175m, the reservoir length is 2,335m, and the static investment is135.266 billion yuan, and 32 hydropower units with a single capacity of 700,000 kilowatts are installed.

The last hydropower unit of Three Gorges Hydropower Station was put into operation on July 4, 20 12, with an installed capacity of 22.4 million kilowatts. On July 4th, 20 12, it has become the largest hydropower station and clean energy production base in the world.

On August 18, 2020, the "No.5 Flood of the Yangtze River in 2020" was formed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
