At present, domestic students studying in Sweden are mainly divided into two categories: one is ordinary or senior visiting scholars sent by the Ministry of Education, universities and some scientific research institutions, that is, foreign students at public expense. These people usually study in Swedish universities for one or two years according to bilateral agreements, and then return to China as scheduled. The other is self-funded students who study for a degree. These people usually graduated from domestic universities. After working for several years, I applied to be admitted to Swedish universities as an "international master's class" student or graduate student to study for a doctorate. A. Admission requirements and scholarships Swedish institutions of higher learning have the right to decide their own teaching contents and methods, and have their own special requirements and admission standards for foreign graduate students. Postgraduate courses are taught in English, and students must have a high level of English and a TOEFL score of at least 550. Many international students apply for "international master's courses" organized by some universities and taught in English, and they can get master's degrees after studying for one or two years. Many people go on to study for a doctorate after getting this degree. Whether a master student can get a scholarship depends entirely on the relevant institutions. Doctoral students in Sweden are paid according to the treatment of scientific researchers.

Sweden has a government agency called Swedish Academy, which promotes educational and cultural exchanges between Sweden and other countries. The organization grants a certain number of scholarships to foreign students studying in Sweden every year. In theory, everyone can apply, but few people get it. Generally speaking, only those scholars who study Swedish, literature, history, etc. , which is conducive to expanding Sweden's influence in the world, or professionals in special need in Sweden can get scholarships from it. B. Accommodation and study abroad. All major universities in Sweden have consulting services. If international students want to study in Sweden, they should first contact the consulting service of the relevant university, ask about the basic situation of the school and get the application form for admission. Most Swedish universities can help foreign students arrange accommodation, usually in student dormitories near universities. Such dormitories are single rooms, more than ten square meters, and small bathrooms with showers. A spacious and well-equipped kitchen is available for about ten students, and cookers should be provided by themselves. The monthly rent of such a house is between 2000 and 3000 kronor.

Swedish college students all participate in the student union, and international students are no exception. Students' union represents students' interests in study and life, such as arranging accommodation for students, ensuring students' medical care, organizing entertainment and sports activities, and providing consultation for foreign students. Members of the student union have to pay a small membership fee every semester. C. study and work like many other countries, Sweden is divided into two semesters every year. Liberal arts students attend classes every week 12 ~ 15 hours, with more time for self-study. Besides listening, every student has to read a lot of reference books, and doctoral students have to do a lot of experiments. The examination is divided into written examination and oral examination, and the results are divided into three categories: excellent, passing and failing. Compared with many other countries, the relationship between teachers and students in Swedish universities is more casual, and everyone emphasizes equality rather than the dignity of teachers.

Sweden is a Nordic country. The weather is not hot in summer, the days are long and the nights are short, and the mountains and rivers are beautiful and comfortable. In winter, on the other hand, the weather is often very cold, the ground is covered with heavy snow, and the long night is hard, giving people a feeling of depression. Swedes are friendly to China, and China students are praised for their diligence and talent. Some Swedes have made friends with students in China. However, Swedes are introverted, and it is difficult to really integrate into them because of the differences in concepts and cultures. Because of this, although some China students have lived in Sweden for many years, they have more contacts with their compatriots. In addition to school and professional factors, studying in Sweden has two advantages: first, not only primary and secondary education in Sweden is free, but even universities generally do not charge tuition fees, so international students can save this fee; Second, Sweden is a well-known "welfare state". Foreign students who have studied in Sweden for more than one year can enjoy free medical care if they get the slogan after registration. In addition, Sweden has a stable society and a good public security situation, so studying and living in Sweden will make you feel more secure.

However, studying in Sweden also has disadvantages: first, Swedish is the teaching medium for undergraduate students in Swedish universities, and they can't enter school without knowing Swedish; Second, Sweden has the highest price among EU countries. Therefore, although you don't have to pay tuition fees to study in Switzerland, the living expenses such as accommodation and transportation are higher. According to the budget made by the Swedish Immigration Bureau for foreign students, each person needs to spend about 6,300 Swedish kronor (1 USD) per month, including 2,400 kronor for meals, 2 100 kronor for accommodation, 500 kronor for transportation and 1300 kronor for other expenses. Although China students are not afraid of hardship and can scrimp and save, they spend about 5,000 kroner a month. It costs a lot of money to study like this for a few years.
