Brief introduction of Kuimen Bridge

Kuimen Bridge, located in fengjie county, Chongqing, is the second prestressed concrete two-way cable-stayed bridge where the Yangtze River enters Chongqing. The pylon of this bridge is in the shape of "A", which is a cable-stayed bridge with two towers and two cable planes. The main span is 460m (side beam concrete ranks the third in China among similar bridge structures). The whole bridge is 893m long and 20.5m wide. It is a two-way four-lane cable-stayed bridge with a design speed of 40km/h, spanning Fengjie and connecting the two banks of Wushan. The bridge site is located at the mouth of Kuimen Gorge, where the Three Gorges Immigrant New Town is located. The unique Three Gorges culture and Three Kingdoms culture constitute the human landscape in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
