What do TOEFL and IELTS mean?

TOEFL is an English proficiency test for non-native English speakers. TOEFL is a necessary test score for studying abroad (USA, Canada).

IELTS is one of the famous international English standardized tests. IELTS scores have been accepted by many educational institutions in Britain, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and other Commonwealth countries, as well as more and more American educational institutions and various professional institutions.

There are three kinds of TOEFL, namely: pbt-paper based Test 677, cbt-computer based test 300, ibt-internet based test Online Test 120, and the new TOEFL score is 120.

The TOEFL test is valid for two years, counting from the date of the test.

IELTS was founded in 1989, which was jointly organized by the British Council, the Cambridge University Examinations Board and the Australian Education International Development Agency (IDP).

Among them, Cambridge University is responsible for the academic level and test content, while IDP and British Council are responsible for holding tests around the world regularly.

Candidates can choose academic test (A) and training test (G). IELTS scores are valid for two years.
