What is the language of Singapore?

The main languages in Singapore are English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil.

Secondary education in Singapore has special and fast courses, as well as general academic or craft classes. More than half of middle school students are arranged to take accelerated courses, a few students take special courses, and about 30% students take general (academic or technological) courses.

Elective subjects for middle school students include: English, Chinese (students in special courses can choose advanced mother tongue or English as the first language), mathematics, science (including chemistry, physics and biology), humanities (including history and geography), English literature, fine arts, science and technology, home economics, civic education, sports and music.

After graduating from high school, more than half of the students will go to education centers after high school, such as polytechnics and technical education colleges, and only a few will eventually go to universities.

About 15% of the remaining graduates will go to junior colleges and high schools, and most of them will go to universities.
