/kloc-which two colonial countries ruled most of Latin America in the 0/7th and 0/8th centuries?

From15th century to modern times, most of Latin America has been a colony of Spain and Portugal.

1493 In May, under the arbitration of Pope Alexander VI, Spain and Portugal divided the colonial boundary, which was called "papal meridian" in history. It is stipulated that the meridian line west of Azores and Cape Verde Islands 100 Rig is the dividing line, and all the land west of this line belongs to Spain and all the land east belongs to Portugal. 1494, Spain and Portugal concluded the Treaty of Todd silas, which stipulated that the two countries would monopolize the world outside Europe, especially 300 leagues (about 1770 kilometers or100 miles) west of Cape Verde Islands and about 46 37' west longitude. This explains why Spain has great influence in the western hemisphere, while Portugal has great influence in Brazil, Africa and the Far East. Spain and Portugal ratified the Treaty on July 2nd and September 5th, respectively.

The agreement laid the foundation for the colonial rule of the two countries in Latin America. Spain occupied American territory from the southern United States to Chile, while Portugal firmly controlled Brazil. In fact, it is precisely because these two Iberian countries speak Latin that their colonies are called "Latin America".
