As the Yunlong Reservoir in Zhangjiuhe River is 97 kilometers away from the main urban area of Kunming, and it is a single-pipe water transfer project, the Qingshuihai, Niulan River water transfer project and the future central Yunnan water transfer project will all be long-distance single-pipe water transfer projects, so Songhuaba Reservoir is not only the drinking water source of Kunming, but also the only reliable lifeline water source reservoir in Kunming.
