The watershed area above the dam site is 2155 square kilometers, with an average flow rate of 46.3 square meters per second for many years. The Longbeiwan Hydropower Station is designed to be behind the dam. A power station mainly consists of a dam, a power generation culvert, a factory building, and a substation. The power station dam is designed as a concrete face rockfill dam with a dam crest elevation of 524 meters, a normal reservoir water level of 520 meters, an adjustable storage capacity of 466 million square meters, and multi-year adjustment performance. The hydropower station has a designed installed capacity of 180,000 kilowatts and an annual utilization of 2,346 hours. The total planned construction period is 4 years. The project is jointly developed by Xiaolangdi Hub Management Bureau and Hanjiang Group. The estimated total investment of the project is 2.1796 billion yuan.

It has an installed capacity of 180,000 kilowatts, a normal water storage level of 520 meters, a total storage capacity of 830 million cubic meters, and an estimated investment of 2.179 billion yuan. , invested and constructed by Hubei Nenglongbeiwan Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. The preliminary work of the project started in 2008. In February this year, temporary construction projects such as dam area leveling, construction power supply, construction roads, diversion tunnel entrance and exit, and dam abutment excavation began. At present, the project has completed the review and approval of 17 special reports including resettlement planning outline, land pre-examination, environmental impact assessment, soil and water conservation, flood control planning, and forest land use.
