Synopsis:
In 1964, Rose, a singer in a nightclub in Shanghai, met Australian sailor Bill and they decided to get married. So Rose came to Australia with her two children. However, their marriage did not last long. After the divorce, Rose began to work in a Chinese restaurant and raised two children by herself.
In the Chinese restaurant, Rose met the Chinese cook-Zu, and they became lovers. Zu is an illegal immigrant and much younger than her.
