Xiangshan Tourist Scenic Area is located in Guanyu Town, Funing County. It is named because there is a huge bare rock of 4000 square meters at the main entrance of the scenic spot, which looks like a giant elephant. The scenic spot is located at the southern foot of Yanshan Mountain, with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. The mountains in the area are undulating and the hills are vertical and horizontal. Although the mountains are not high, they are all below 360 meters above sea level, but most of them are dignified and simple, with rugged mountains and rocks. The mountains are lush with flowers and plants, rich in vegetation and high in negative oxygen ions, and there are many kinds of wild animals and birds living on the mountains. Xiangshan Lake in the area is a small reservoir with a perennial storage capacity of 500,000 cubic meters. The water quality is clean and the water surface is open. Fish, shrimp, crabs and other aquatic products grow in the lake.

Xiangshan Scenic Area is located in the beautiful coastal city of Qinhuangdao, 20 kilometers away from the urban area and Beidaihe, the "summer capital". Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, coastal expressway and many national highways and railways pass through the scenic spot, forming a beautiful landscape between Qinhuangdao and Beidaihe.

Xiangshan Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains, with a clear water rippling in the center, birds and flowers singing and wild animals swarming around it, and is known as a paradise. Its main peak is magnificent in shape and beautiful in lying posture, and it is named "Xiangshan" because its mountain looks like a giant elephant lying prone by the lake. The planning area of the whole scenic spot is about 2.8 square kilometers. The main scenic spots are composed of natural landscape and human landscape, among which the natural landscape mainly includes Xiangshan Mountain, Xiangshan Lake, Jiguan Peak, Dishuitan Lake, Shenxia Lake, Dongxiangwa, Xixiangwa, Centennial Chestnut Forest and Colored Stone Forest. Among them, the colored stone forest includes turtle stone, turtle stone, real stone, lovers stone, mother-child stone, compass stone and flying eagle. The human landscape mainly includes Xiangshan Jiu Lao Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Xiangshan Painters Club, Painting and Calligraphy Art Museum, Cui Wen Pavilion, Museum and Wanfang Stone Carving Garden. The natural landscape of the scenic spot and the scholarly Mo Yun complement each other, and it is a rare ecological leisure cultural scenic spot in the northern region.

Xiangshan Scenic Area was established in June 2000, with an accumulated investment of nearly 100 million yuan. It has completed the basic equipment and the first-phase project planning, and has many reception talents such as catering, accommodation, cruise, fishing, barbecue, picking, leisure, tea art, chess, entertainment, weekend stage, calligraphy and painting pen meeting, and discussion forum. Here, you can not only climb mountains and fish, gather whole sheep by bonfire, but also enjoy painting and stone carving, while feeling the broadness and charm of China traditional culture.

Xiangshan Scenic Area is about to stop the second phase of the project. Its main projects include "three districts, one museum, one village and one site", the second office area of Xiangshan coastal ecological leisure, the second office area of Xiangshan cultural and creative industry, the Wen Gu Jiafeng Museum area of Xiangshan, the Wen Gu Museum of Xiangshan, the Wen Gu Museum-style Tianlun Resort of Xiangshan, and the permanent meeting place of Xiangshan Wen Gu Chinese Culture Forum. By then, Xiangshan Scenic Area will become a large-scale comprehensive ecological leisure cultural scenic spot integrating the functions of leisure, vacation, office, health preservation and cultural and artistic exchange in the north of China.
