Qingzhen ancient archway

When it comes to qingzhen city, people will naturally associate it with Hongfeng Lake and Baihua Lake, which are full of misty waves and lush peaks. In fact, in addition to the beautiful scenery, there are many unique historical and cultural sites in qingzhen city. The three existing stone archways in the territory are precious cultural heritages left by ancient ancestors.

In the 14th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (138 1), Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, appointed Fu Youde, Hou of Yingchuan, as the general of conquering the south, and led 300,000 troops from Hunan and Guizhou to crusade against Liang Wang in Yunnan. Subsequently, the Ming army established a series of military castles along the southern expedition in Guizhou to prevent the rebellion of Guizhou Tusi, which caused political instability in Guizhou and isolated Yunnan. In the 23rd year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1390), Wei Qing Wei (now qingzhen city) was established in the west of Guiyang, with more than 10,000 households stationed. Tens of thousands of immigrants from other provinces came to Weiqingwei, and they also brought advanced farming techniques and culture from the Central Plains. In the third year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1630), in order to restrict the Tusi in Shuixi 'an, the court also set up Zhenxiwei (now Acropolis) in Qingzhen. In the twenty-sixth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, when the imperial court withdrew Wei and Zhen Wei, it took Wei's "Qing" and Zhen's "Zhen" and named it Qingzhen County.

Because Qingzhen is close to Guiyang, the provincial capital, located in the throat of Guizhou and Yunnan, with developed transportation, it is deeply influenced by Confucian culture in the Central Plains, and ancient education flourished. From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, many cultural sites were left behind.

Heinishao stone memorial archway

The memorial archway was built on the ancient post road leading from Qingzhen to Guiyang. It was built by Xiong Tianxiang, a local citizen in the 16th year of Daoguang (1838), for his mother Liu with the permission of the imperial court.

Xiong Tianxiang's father died in his early years, and his mother Liu did not marry after her husband's death, and took on the heavy responsibility of raising her son alone. After Xiong Tianxiang's successful career, in order to celebrate his mother's loyalty, he got permission from the court and built a memorial archway as a souvenir. The archway facing south is three white stone archways with four columns and three floors, with a height of 5.75m and a width of 9.15m. The square column is engraved and supported by the cloud drum columns on the north and south sides. On the forehead, the top of the ceiling is engraved with eight Chinese characters "Women are beautiful" and the bottom is engraved with "Yaochi Ice and Snow". The whole archway is exquisitely carved, with various auspicious patterns of animals and plants as the main relief. The memorial archway is simple in shape and has the folk memorial archway style of Anhui and Jiangxi in the middle of Qing Dynasty. There are not many stone archways in Guiyang. This archway coexists with a well-preserved ancient post road in Ming Dynasty, which is really rare in our city, and is of considerable value to the study of traffic roads and ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Unfortunately, neither the archway nor the ancient post road has any protective measures. The left side of this precious stone archway has broken and is in danger of sinking and collapsing at any time. Guizhou has been a province for nearly 600 years, and Guiyang was the transportation hub of the ancient post road. However, there are not many ancient post roads in Ming Dynasty preserved in the whole city. Qingzhen has such a well-preserved ancient post road in Ming Dynasty and ancient memorial archway in Qing Dynasty. It is really a pity that we failed to protect it and let it collapse.

Li Shu Liu Zuo Shi Xiao Jie Fang

The small stone archway of Liu Zuojie in Dalishu is located in Dalishu Village Group, Hongfenghu Town, near Huang Gui Highway. The archway was built in the 23rd year of Qing Daoguang (1843). It is a white stone archway with two floors, four columns and three doors, with three columns and two doors. The archway is 4.8 meters high and 4.9 meters wide, and consists of stone seats, pillars, stone tablets and Liang Shi. Auspicious patterns such as figures, animals and plants are engraved on both sides of the archway, and figures are engraved on both sides of columns and plaques. The front of the stone tablet is engraved with "Liu Zuoshi Festival Filial Piety Square" and the back is engraved with "Iron Stone Meng Xin Liu Zuoshi Festival Filial Piety Square". Liu Zuoshi was young and widowed, willing to endure hardships and determined not to marry. After raising his children, he helped them get married. After Liu Zuoshi died, her children and grandchildren remembered his hardships all their lives and came here to remember him forever out of filial piety.

When I was filming, I found four archway components on the grass next to the archway. The local people told me: 1953, the fifth brigade of Pingba Farm repaired the granary and demolished the first floor of the first column of Liu Zuoshi's archway as the cornerstone. Now four components have been recovered, and two are under the granary. I went to the granary of Team Five, but I couldn't find it anywhere. The locals said that they were buried under the cornerstone in the middle of the granary.

The archway is a cultural relic of the Qing Dynasty, and the first floor of Liu Zuoshi's archway is incomplete without columns. Now that the whereabouts of this archway component have been found, the cultural management department of qingzhen city should recover it according to law, return it to Zhao intact, and restore the integrity of Liu Zuoshi's archway.

Zhang Duan wangmushi memorial archway

Wang Mu, Zhang Duan is located in Qinglong Sub-district Office, qingzhen city. There is a stone archway in front of it, which is the only stone archway in Guiyang, so it is very precious.

The memorial archway was built in the 27th year of Daoguang (1847) by Zhang Riqi, governor of Yunnan, for his grandfather Wang. The archway is a stone square with four columns and three doors. The middle two columns are 4.9 meters high and the two columns on both sides are 4. 13 meters high. The forehead is engraved with the "Three Dynasties Tin Destiny" and the back is engraved with the imperial edict. A stone watch with a height of 4.9 meters stands on the left and right sides.

Zhang Duan originally lived in Fengyang, and later settled in Qingzhen with his brother. He used to be the editor of the Hanlin Academy. His son, Zhang Dexun, is an inspirational reader who has read intensively at the Expo. He presided over the academies of Pingyang, Liyang, Yuexi, Xiufeng and Jiang Xun. Later, I was instructed by Duyun and determined to learn correctly (now Huishui). In the 15th year of Jiaqing (1807), Sun Bi was admitted to imperial academy on 18 17, and was changed to. He used to be an examiner in Shuntian (Beijing), Hunan and Henan. Later, he served as Sichuan provincial judge, Henan governor and Yunnan governor. Zhang Riqi's family has been civil servants for three generations, and they are all very successful. Therefore, Shipailou can be engraved with the four characters of "Three Dynasties Tin Life" with imperial edicts on it, which is rare in Guiyang.

The three existing stone archways in qingzhen city are exquisitely carved and of high cultural value, but unfortunately they have not been well protected. I hope more people can pay attention to and cherish these ancient archways and similar non-renewable cultural relics.
