Yong Jin, born in South Korea in 1959, immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 5 years old. His father was a professor of dentistry at the University of Iowa.
Yong Jin graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1991 with a doctorate in anthropology.
He later founded a charity called Partner in health Partners to provide medical treatment for tuberculosis patients in Haiti.
Yong Jin's resume includes being an adviser to the Secretary-General of the World Health Organization, a professor at Harvard University, etc. Since 29, he has been the dean of Dartmouth College.
