According to the inquiry of Inner Mongolia Water Conservancy official website, on February 28th, 2023, the second phase of water diversion project from central China to Liaoning started construction in an all-round way. In order to alleviate the shortage of water resources in the West Liaohe River Basin in Inner Mongolia, the project of diverting water from Chuo to Liaoning was implemented. The Chuo-Yue Water Diversion Project is one of the 172 major water conservancy projects implemented in the State Council during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and it is also the 17 project that the state must start.
