This method of genealogical association has existed in the past. For example, the book "Genealogy of Zhou Family in Meixian County" contains the genealogy of six Zhou Clans that have been established locally. These six branches are all members of the Zhou clan who moved to Meixian in the early days. For the Zhou family who just moved in and settled recently, their ancestral home and lineage have been sorted out one by one, without any omission. This genealogy also records an important and meaningful research result. Since these two branches trace back to the same ancestral source, they have achieved a joint spectrum, which can discharge a unified generation. These seven princes are not only the ancestors of He Si, but also the 85th ancestors of Zhou Wen and Wang Weiyi. Nan Gong is not only the ancestor of Long Wen, but also the genealogy of the 93rd generation. This idea and method, which is based on field investigation, multi-party textual research, tracing the origin of the same clan and realizing joint genealogy, is worth learning, but in this case, it should be true that the later lineage of Zhou Wenwang is quoted before it can be established. In fact, the genealogy of this assembly method is not traced back, or not all of it can be traced back to the joint genealogy of * * *, and its branching coefficient and population should not be too much, so it is suitable for general county-level areas. Of course, autonomous prefectures and cities with small populations can also set up editorial units. Theoretically speaking, if all county-level areas have this kind of joint spectrum, not only all Zhou surnames will be included in the spectrum, but also the compilation and revision of provincial and municipal joint spectrum will have a solid foundation. Carefully textual research, to ensure that the historical value of the joint spectrum can be traced back to the source, and to find the "ancestral intersection" of the two upper genealogies, so as to achieve the real "joint spectrum." However, it must be emphasized that in the process of tracing back to the source, serious textual research must be carried out to ensure authenticity. Many genealogies of Lao Zhou claimed to be descendants of Zhou Bo, Zhou Yu and Zhou Dunyi, and the genealogy was complete. If we take this as the basis and count it as the intersection of ancestral sources to realize the "joint genealogy", it needs to be confirmed. Because, what celebrities say later is more common, mostly plagiarized, unverified and often untrue. For example, my ancestor Ren Degong came to Guangdong. His ancestral home has two versions, one is after Zhou Dunyi, and there are three versions after Zhou Dunyi. These versions have their own doubts. After verification by many parties, no credible result has been obtained so far, that is, the "joint spectrum" is obviously inappropriate. At the beginning of genealogy, we should bear in mind the great achievements, academic attainments and famous sayings of Zhou ancestors in order to improve the pride and self-confidence of Chinese people and love their country. The spirit of learning and progress is of course completely correct and necessary. However, in order to stubbornly find the ancestral source, a celebrity is compiled according to some specious clues or subjective wishes, so that its authenticity cannot be verified, and then it is copied, which will inevitably extend to this "joint spectrum" project. I think it may be feasible to correct the disadvantages with "exclusion". For example, there is an accurate and complete dental record of grandchildren close to the tenth generation after Zhou Dunyi as a blueprint, and all inconsistencies are excluded. Of course, the accuracy and completeness of the blueprint itself are very important. The information has been verified, and all the names, characters, numbers, overflow, birth and death years, lineage, migration history and so on are as complete and clear as possible. As for how to use this blueprint and use the "exclusion method", it is the people's own business. In a word, the work of "joint genealogy" is related to the genealogy of the Zhou family, but it can't replace various genealogies. Instead, it promotes Zhou culture through "joint genealogy", improves the historical value of our genealogy, strengthens the connection between our genealogies, and promotes harmony and unity. At the same time, the compilation of "Joint Spectrum" can't be completed by the "Editorial Committee" alone, and everyone needs Qi Xin's concerted efforts and joint participation.
