What exam is pte?

PTE is an academic English test. The English name of Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is specially designed for those who have plans to study abroad. It is a standardized foreign language test based on computer examination and evaluation.

PTE is one of the six Safe English Proficiency Tests (SELT) accepted by Britain, and the test results can be used to apply for various British visas and immigrants. At the same time, the acceptance of PTE scores on a global scale is also increasing.

Examination form

The whole computer test is three hours long and consists of three parts, with a total score of 90 points.

1, Oral English and Writing: The average test time is 77-93 minutes, including reading aloud, repeating sentences, describing images, retelling articles, answering short articles, summarizing articles and writing short articles. Among them, the oral part emphasizes fluency, while the writing part requires higher structure and lower logic than IELTS.
