From 00: 00 on March 28th, 2020, China will suspend the entry of foreigners with current valid visas and residence permits. On March 26th, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Administration of Immigration of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued the Notice on Suspension of Entry of Foreigners with Valid Visa or Residence Permit in China. The announcement also includes the following contents:

1. Foreigners holding APEC business travel cards will be suspended from entering China.

2. Port visa exemption, 24/72/ 144 hour transit visa exemption, Hainan visa exemption, Shanghai cruise visa exemption, Hong Kong and Macao personnel Guangdong visa exemption 144 hour visa exemption, and Guangxi visa exemption policy for ASEAN tour groups.

3. C visas for foreign affairs, official duties, courtesy and entry are not affected.

4. Foreigners who come to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific and technological activities or humanitarian emergencies may apply for visas from China embassies and consulates abroad.

5. The entry of foreigners who have issued visas after the announcement is not affected.
