Located in the hinterland of southern Anhui, it faces Huangshan Mountain in the west, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai in the east and Wanjiang River in the north. The county covers an area of 904.8 square kilometers and governs 10 towns. Jingde County was founded in Tang Baoying for two years (763), with a history of 1250 years. The name of the county means "showing talent and courtesy". Jingdezhen has a long history and is the birthplace of Hui culture, including agronomist Wang Zhen, poet Lv Bicheng, mathematician Jiang Zehan and writer Zhou Erfu.
