Historical evolution of Dachuan Town

A large piece of town land belonged to Ji Nei in the Shang Dynasty. Qin belongs to Jiyi, Shanchuan County. In the 6th year of Yuanding (AD 111), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the Xinzhong Township of Ji County was analyzed and the two counties of Huojia County and Ji County were merged into Xinxiang County. Most of the towns were under the jurisdiction of Xinxiang. According to historical records, Dadai Town was one of the important destinations for population migration in Hongtong County, Shanxi Province during the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty. Because when the village was built in the Ming Dynasty, the terrain of Big Block was low-lying, and immigrants lived in two highlands in the south (today's Big Block) and in the north (today's Small Block). The land here was larger, so it was named Big Block. The origin of its place name is also rumored to be that descendants in the village named it Big Sophora japonica in commemoration of the Hongtong Sophora japonica tree in Shanxi Province. Later, due to the homophonic pronunciation, it was named Big Block (block). It is now impossible to verify.

In May 1949, the entire territory of Xinxiang was liberated; in August, the People's Government of Pingyuan Province was established, and large parts of the territory were under the jurisdiction of Chenbao.

In November 1952, Pingyuan Province was abolished, and Chunbao (Chenbao) was returned to Xinxiang County of the Xinxiang Commissioner's Office of Henan Province.

In May 1955, the district system was abolished and townships were established. Large central townships were established, and the township government was located in large chunks of villages.

In August 1958, the People's Commune of Dadai Center Township in Xinxiang County was established.

In April 1983, Dadai Center Township was renamed Dadai Township.

In November 1996, Dadai Township was evacuated from the township and established as a town, and a ceremony was held in front of the People's Theater of Dadai Township at that time. The town of Chunkeng was established.
