What is the area of Chaoshan area?

Chaoshan people live in Shantou, Chaoyang, Chenghai and Chaozhou. The total area of Chaoshan area is 1.0346 million square kilometers. Chaoshan Plain consists of Hanjiang Delta, Rongjiang Delta, Lianjiang Delta and Huanggang River Delta, and is the second largest plain in Guangdong Province. Hanjiang River, which runs through Chaoshan Plain, is the second longest river in Guangdong. Lianhuashan-Yinnashan mountain range is the longest mountain range in the parallel valley of eastern Guangdong, with a total length of 400 kilometers from Dabu, which borders Fujian in the northeast, to Dapeng Bay in the southwest. It divides eastern Guangdong into two parts, the southeast river and the northwest river, which becomes the natural dividing line between Chaoshan people and Xingmei Hakka area, and also the watershed between Chaoshan area and Pearl River basin. Chaoshan plain is a semi-closed area facing the ocean, surrounded by mountains and the sea. The high temperature, abundant sunshine and rainfall in this area are beneficial to the growth of crops. During the Jin Dynasty, people from the Central Plains moved to the south on a large scale, and some immigrants entered the Hanjiang River valley from southern Fujian, and then settled here, which was regarded as a blessing. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, many Fujian residents moved to eastern Guangdong, and from the early Ming Dynasty to the middle Qing Dynasty, a large number of immigrants moved to the southeast coastal areas of Guangdong. The language of this area is Chaoshan dialect.
