What if the debt is not paid off?

1. The debtor shall perform the repayment obligation according to the debt agreement. If it cannot be repaid in one lump sum, it can be repaid in installments through consultation with creditors. Whether to agree or not is up to the creditors.

2. When the debtor fails to perform the debt repayment obligation, the creditor may, according to the agreement of both parties, bring a lawsuit to the people's court in accordance with the law and demand a judgment for repayment.

3. If the debtor fails to perform the obligations specified in the effective civil judgment, the parties may apply to the people's court for compulsory execution.

4. With regard to civil judgments, the state has stipulated a series of enforcement measures through the Civil Procedure Law, in order to put the judgments in place to the maximum extent, including the requirement of reporting the property, seizing, freezing, transferring and changing the price of the property of the person subjected to execution according to different circumstances, seizing and withdrawing his income, sealing up, seizing, freezing, auctioning and selling off the property that the person subjected to execution should perform his obligations, paying double the interest on the debt during the delayed performance, and restricting him from leaving the country.
