In Xiangshui Village, Maohe Township, Mingshan District, a big stone stands outside the offices of the two committees of the village, which reads: "Xiangshui Village, the first village of tea seedlings in China". Now it is the harvest and cutting season of tea seedlings, and the trucks that come to transport tea seedlings are waiting by the roadside. The villagers drove a truckload of tea seedlings in agricultural vehicles, then transferred them to trucks and sent them to other places. In the fields, the villagers are still busy pulling out tea seedlings, tying about 100 into a bundle, and then loading them with agricultural vehicles.

"These years are better than previous years. Some bosses outside the province will take the initiative to buy tea seedlings in the village. In the past, sales were a big problem. " Hua Ding, director of Xiangshui Village Committee, said. Hua Ding has been a village cadre since 1995, witnessing the development of tea seedling breeding in Xiangshui Village.

From 65438 to 0995, Maohe Township vigorously promoted high-quality tea seedling varieties and encouraged farmers to grow tea to get rich. Li Dongxia recalled that before going to Xiangshui Village, her understanding of tea was really not worth mentioning. After arriving in Xiangshui Village, it was discovered that the growth process and picking methods of tea were very complicated, which were closely related to soil science, biology and environment. Later, she learned that the pH and climatic conditions of the famous mountain soil were the best environment for the growth of tea trees, and there was a great demand for tea seedlings at that time.

So, Li Dongxia began a long study. Learn tea seedling planting techniques, sign contracts with customers, and take the lead in planting high-quality tea seedling varieties ... Tired, Li Dongxia squatted on the ridge of the field, calculating how much money she could earn by planting 1 mu. How much can you earn by planting 10 mu? Finally, when she saw the tea seedling business, she borrowed hundreds of thousands from her family and rented land to start large-scale planting.

When the scale is large, you have to worry about the sales of tea seedlings. Before 2000, the tea seedlings in Xiangshui Village were mainly sold to Sichuan. After 2000, Li Dongxia began to participate in various national tea seedling bidding meetings. But at that time, there was no market for Sichuan tea seedlings in other provinces, and many people thought that Sichuan tea seedlings were not good.

In June 2005, the opportunity finally came. Li Dongxia attended a tea seedling bidding meeting in Hefeng County, Hubei Province. At the meeting, she took the initiative to invite experts to test the famous tea seedlings she brought, and found that the famous tea seedlings were better than those in Fujian! Immediately, she got an order for 6 million tea seedlings in the county, and suddenly started the brand of famous tea seedlings. Subsequently, other provinces have thrown orders. Now there are famous tea seedlings in tea gardens in Hunan, Gansu, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces.

In 2005, just as Li Dongxia started the famous tea seedling brand in Hubei, Maohe Township set an annual sales record of 300 million tea seedlings and became the largest clonal tea seedling breeding base in China.

In July 2007, the first tea cooperative in our city was established in Xiangshui Village. This cooperative was developed on the basis of the national advanced non-governmental organization "Maohe Township Tea Association", focusing on cutting, sales, technical training and tea processing of high-quality tea seedlings. The cooperative has a high-quality tea seedling breeding base of 650 mu, which is the largest high-quality tea seedling breeding base in Maohe Township. Now, the cooperative's tea seedling scale has increased from the original annual output of 6.5438+million to more than 200 million.

Today, more than 80% of tea seedlings in Maohe Township are sold through cooperatives. In addition, the cooperative's business has also expanded to black bamboo and new stores.

Li Dongxia's husband Ji Tingbo is the chairman of the cooperative. The young couple feel that if the cooperative wants to develop continuously and steadily for a long time, and the villagers want to continue to live a happy life, they must rely on honesty to operate. She told such a story: tea seedlings were originally a bundle of 100, but some villagers always lacked the number of tea seedlings, and some villagers mixed some inferior tea seedlings in it ... These trivial things were not a big deal to others, but Li Dongxia thought it was a sign of dishonesty: "If you want to maintain a long-term cooperative relationship with customers, you must be honest."
