Party member was a materialist and atheist, and he was forbidden to believe in religion. However, in real life, on holidays, party member may visit temple fairs, visit temple attractions, or participate in some folk customs and national cultural activities with local characteristics, and even communicate with some religious people to unite most religious people. I may also attend some traditional weddings and funerals of local people.

None of the above activities is equivalent to religious activities held by religious people in religious gathering places (temples, mosques, churches). The former can participate, while the latter is forbidden. On the basis of observing the Party discipline, party member should reasonably and moderately participate in some folk activities to improve its national cultural quality. At the same time, it rejects all feudal superstitious activities such as burning incense and worshipping Buddha and begging for blessing. Strengthen ideals and beliefs, do your duty, and improve party spirit.

According to Articles 62 and 63 of the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions within the Party of China, party member, who believes in religion, should strengthen ideological education. If, with the help of Party organizations, they have not changed through education, they should be advised to quit the Party; Persuade not to retreat and be dismissed; Those who participate in the use of religion to engage in incitement activities shall be expelled from the party.

Those who organize superstitious activities shall be given the punishment of revoking their positions within the party or staying in the party for observation; If the circumstances are serious, he shall be expelled from the party. Those who participate in superstitious activities and cause adverse effects shall be given a warning or a serious warning; If the circumstances are serious, he shall be dismissed from his post within the Party or be placed on probation.
