Why does les like Iceland?

Iceland has three remarkable natural features:

First, there are many glaciers.

Second, there are many volcanoes.

Third, there are many high-temperature hot water mineral springs, rich geothermal resources, and rich fishery resources in the waters around Iceland, with Reykjavik as its capital.

The origin of the name Iceland is different, and there are two kinds:

Originated from the initial impression of the discoverer. In the 4th century AD, the Greek geographer Pifey once called it "Kirishima". However, because the island is far from the mainland and the traffic is inconvenient, few people come.

In 864 AD, the Scandinavian navigator flock set foot on the island, and the island was really "discovered". Post-Scandinavians, Irish and Scots flocked. When these immigrant ships approached the southern coast, the first thing they saw was a huge glacier, the famous Vatna Glacier in Iceland. People were so impressed with this glacier that they named the island "Iceland".

The strategy originated from the colonists. After the original colonists settled on the island, they didn't want others to share their "food in their mouths", so they named it "Iceland" to prevent people from coming.
