Are there so many dialects in Nantong because the locals come from all corners of the country?

In the past, every family had its own ancestral temple, and you can know where your ancestors came from by looking it up. It is rare to see ancestral halls now. Most ancestors of Nantong people were mainly engaged in business. Until now, Nantong people's business minds are very flexible, smart, hardworking, generous and thrifty.

They took the bones of their ancestors to Haimen and Lvsi, and gathered in Changshu to cross the river, which was called pumping Ding in history. During the same period, immigrants from other areas in the south of the Yangtze River migrated to the Huaihe River basin north of the Yangtze River, which was called Hongwu expulsion in history. In addition, from Haimen to the east, there is a saying that Tongdong people were ancient Changzhou people before the Tang Dynasty, and formed a huge radial sand ridge (also known as sandbar) in the southern Yellow Sea of Jiangsu Province, which increased year by year and gradually became land. For example, the coastal beach of Rudong 100 kilometers is still extending for five to ten meters every year.

In addition to the integration of dialects, there are Rudong dialect, Hai 'an dialect and Haiqi dialect. At the junction of Nantong and Dongtai City, Jiangyan City and Taixing City, there are also some transitional dialects, such as Dongtai Dialect, Jiangyan Dialect and Taixing Dialect, or these dialects and Hai 'an Dialect and Rugao Dialect. But the traffic range is relatively small. An important reason why Nantong dialect sounds like Mongolian is that a Mongolian army of tens of thousands of people and their families were stationed in the suburbs of Nantong at the end of Yuan Dynasty. Due to the long-term language exchange with the local people, a small dialect island of Nantong dialect has been formed. The evolution of ancient and modern languages is also a fundamental reason for the particularity of Nantong dialect. Due to the relatively closed environment in Nantong, modern Nantong dialect and medieval pronunciation have their own special corresponding laws.

Formed the Nantong Plain. For two thousand years, I used to work in Jiangyan and walked in a small city for about two minutes. I found a problem, that is, the faces of Jiangyan people are similar, and I know that this is an isolated city, and the urban population can't get in and out, but all of them are digested here.
