Immigrant movies

In 1980s, the success of Shaolin Temple triggered the upsurge of shooting martial arts action films in Chinese mainland. At that time, major domestic film studios filmed kung fu and martial arts films with the characteristics of the times.

Among them, Thirteen Sisters of Chivalrous Woman produced by Beijing Film Studio is the most special, because it is the first 3D martial arts film in China.

"Thirteen Sisters of Chivalrous Woman" is a film adapted from Zhu's novel "Biography of Heroes of Children in Qing Dynasty" and directed by.

Although Jet Li didn't join the film, Ding Lan, who worked with Jet Li in Shaolin Temple and Shaolin Kid, was attracted by director Qitian Yang because of her superb acting skills and starred in the legendary heroine Thirteen Sisters in the film.

In addition, Ge You's father Ge Cunzhuang plays the villain Ji. Jet Li's brother Wang Qun, "Nanquan King" Qiu Jianguo, "Xiaobailong" Wang Bozhao, "Wu Linzhi" Li Junfeng, and Shandong version of "Water Margin" Lu Zaishou joined in. Such a strong starring lineup was a gathering of stars at that time.

The film cost millions of yuan, and the shooting cycle was as long as two years, and the famous Japanese director Toru Murakawa was invited to join. After the release of 1986, it also caused a great sensation in the mainland.

But at that time, there was no box office statistics in the mainland, and we couldn't come up with specific box office data. In Hong Kong, it was named Three-dimensional Thirteen Sisters, and the box office was only 1 1 10000 HK dollars.

Without the participation of Hong Kong companies, like many mainland films, the films have not been restored by Blu-ray.

Pigou also found the version broadcast by CCTV 6 after many twists and turns, and it is also the clearest version that can be found at present. Now let's revisit this classic and uncover its behind-the-scenes story.

One,

It was a long time ago. Let's learn about the movie story first.

The story of the film took place in the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, which was an era when philosophers were afraid of themselves.

Treacherous court official Ji Tang Xian (played by Ge Cunzhuang), relying on the emperor's favor, persecuted the loyal officials of the civil and military officials in the DPRK, resulting in many murders.

Ji takes a fancy to He Yufeng (played by Ding Lan), the daughter of He Qi, deputy commander of China Army, and wants to marry her. After He Qi refused, Ji became angry from embarrassment and set a deadly trap to kill him.

He Yufeng got away with it. Following her father's instructions, she took a family heirloom to avoid disaster in the mountains and forests, and learned martial arts by taking Deng Jiugong (played by Ma Yongan) as her teacher.

In the autumn of the following year, He Yufeng heard that Ji thief was going back to the village to visit his relatives and passed through Huai 'an County, so he planned to go down the mountain and kill Ji thief to avenge his parents.

In order to hide people's eyes and ears, why did Deng Jiugong name thirteen sisters Yufeng and send her two brothers Han Yong (played by Qiu Jianguo) and Huo Biao (played by Wang Qun) to go with her?

Thirteen elder sisters and two elder brothers lie in ambush under Qingshiqiao, which is the only way for Ji. When Ji passed by, thirteen sisters jumped out and stabbed Ji's sedan chair with their swords.

Who knows Ji was prepared, and the man sitting in his official sedan chair was just a whipping boy.

13th sister learned that she was cheated, but she sneaked into Jifu to assassinate her. They failed because the house was heavily guarded.

After being assassinated twice, Ji also raised his vigilance. He threatens and lures the evil monk Iron Lohan (played by Li Junfeng) out of the mountain, and wants to use him to catch thirteen sisters.

Iron arhat went into the mountain with Qing soldiers and killed Deng Jiuhong and thirteen sisters' associates. Only Han Yong, who has the highest martial arts, and Huo Biao, who works in Huai 'an County, survived.

On the way down the mountain, the thirteen sisters met an Gongzi (played by Wang Bozhao) who came to Huai 'an County to go to court to save her father.

Although an Gongzi is a useless scholar, thirteen sisters fell in love with him at first sight because of his handsome appearance.

Later, An Gongzi strayed into Heilonggang, was trapped in Nengren Temple, and was killed by Fakong (played by Yu Shoujin), the younger brother of Tierohan.

Thirteen sisters followed the footsteps of An Gongzi, rushed to Heilonggang, broke into Nengren Temple, broke through many organs in the main hall, and fought all the fierce monks in the temple alone, eventually killing Fakong and rescuing An Gongzi.

I didn't expect that the iron arhat also heard the news and met thirteen elder sisters on the way home.

Thirteen sisters fought against the iron arhat and his men, and were eventually captured and imprisoned because they were outnumbered.

Ji was overjoyed to learn that he had arrested thirteen younger sisters and held a banquet in his home to celebrate.

Who knows thirteen sisters have already been rescued by her two brothers, and the three of them sneaked into the banquet scene. Thirteen girls dressed as dancers stabbed Ji in the chest with a dagger, and the scene was in chaos.

This time, Han Yong and Huo Biao teamed up to deal with the iron arhat, and thirteen sisters came after Ji Tang Xian. In the end, arhat lost in a row with four fists and was killed by Han Yong and Huo Biao.

Although Ji Xiantang was cunning, he was no match for 13th Sister's nod. She cut him into pieces and ended his life.

Second,

An actor in a movie

There are many scenes in the role of Ji, but Ge Cunzhuang has no martial arts, so body double is used in many of his action scenes.

However, in terms of literary drama, Ge Cunzhuang has carefully created the vicious image of this character, and several plays performed by Shao Chongfei, who plays his subordinate Wang, are very wonderful.

As early as the "Seventeen-year Movie" era, Ge Cunzhuang successfully created many villains, and was called "Five Villains" together with Sentence, Chen Qiang, Liu Jiang and Fang Hua.

In fact, Ge Cunzhuang likes to take part in action movies. He plays a bully in Mysterious Buddha, which is called "China's first action movie".

Ge Cunzhuang has a persistent pursuit of performance all his life, and every role is carefully shaped.

His acting career is very long, and he has been active until 20 13. The last character he created was Qi Baishi in the TV series Xu Beihong, when he was 84 years old.

20 16 On March 4th, Ge Cunzhuang died of heart failure at the age of 87.

Like Ge Cunzhuang, he is now dead, and there are two other actors, Qiu Jianguo and Wang Qun, who play two brothers of thirteen sisters in the film.

Qiu Jianguo, a former athlete of Guangdong Wushu Team, won the Nanquan championship in the national Wushu competition for six times, and was known as the "King of Nanquan". His masterpiece "King of Nanquan" made a sensation throughout the country from 65438 to 0984.

However, after this film, Qiu Jianguo failed to develop in the mainland film circle. In the 1990s, he went to Hongkong and surprised the audience by playing the villain role in Jet Li's Huang Feihong. Later, he was recruited by director Zhang Xinyan to participate in the TV series "Tai Chi Master" and "New Shaolin Temple", but in the middle of filming in April 1998, nasopharyngeal carcinoma recurred and died at the age of 37.

Wang Qun debuted earlier than Jet Li. 1982 was selected as Treasure of the Great Wall.

Wang Qun's early characters are all naughty and funny, which shows that he is also very talented. Unfortunately, this personality trait has not been well explored. Although the following "Invincible Yuanyang Leg" is classic, the image he created has become stiff.

1993, Zhang Xinyan also asked Wang Qun to star in "The Son of Huang Feihong Should Serve the Country", but this follow-up work only earned HK$ 5.23 million, which turned out to be Wang Qun's last film.

Later, Wang Qun followed Zhang Xinyan into the TV circle, and participated in such dramas as Tai Chi Master and New Shaolin Temple. On June 3, 2008, Wang Qun died of a sudden myocardial infarction at the age of 48.

Jet Li's uncle Li Junfeng plays the villain's No.2 figure-Iron Lohan. Pigo once introduced his masterpiece Wu Linzhi, and now he has immigrated to the United States, where he teaches boxing.

Yu Shoujing, who plays Fakong, is also Lu Shenzhi in the Shandong version of Water Margin. He is a national weightlifter and dances with a mord. But now I'm retired, and I'm said to live in Qingdao.

Wang Bozhao, the "Little White Dragon", plays An Gongzi, but he is actually a "male vase" with weak personality and no sense of existence.

He just finished the Journey to the West. Although he only participated in two episodes, he was a good actor. I have often seen him in TV series in recent years. Last year's "Dajiang Dahe 2" was a high-scoring drama with Douban score of 9.0.

Ding Lan, the heroine, was very popular in mainland China in 1980s.

Besides thirteen elder sisters, she also played Bai Wuxia in Shaolin Temple, Cai Xia in Shaolin Disciple, Er Feng in Shaolin Kid, Shen Zuohong in Dongling Thief and Jia Xichun in A Dream of Red Mansions.

However, with the development of mainland films in a low tide, Ding Lan switched to Singapore Radio and Television on 199 1 and became a citizen of Singapore in the same year.

In fact, many mainland actresses chose this road at that time, but in a foreign country, even if they have experience and acting skills, there is not much room for development.

In 2000, after Ding Lan participated in the Singapore drama Family Affairs, Ding Lan returned to Beijing for business and retired from the entertainment circle.

Third,

The swan song of the domestic martial arts movie "Thirteen Sisters of Chivalrous Woman"

In 1980s, 3D movies gradually emerged in Hollywood. Seeing its development prospect, director Qitian Yang began to develop and create 3D movies.

As early as 1983, he assembled Jiang Kun and Li Wenhua to shoot the three-dimensional film Happy Zoo.

1984, Beijing 608 factory developed a "two-lens stereo photographic device", which can be installed in front of Ali camera.

Qitian Yang took some shots of Thirteen Sisters of Chivalrous Woman with this stand-alone device.

Later, Japanese filmmaker Toru Murakawa and others became interested in co-shooting this film, and they brought a set of the most advanced stereo photography equipment with two lenses and 35mm single lens.

Toru Murakawa joined the crew and became one of the directors. The Japanese participated in photography, production and consulting.

The stereoscopic effect of polarization stereoscopic technology is better than that of red and blue technology, and the production cost is greatly reduced, but it still costs millions of yuan.

When shooting a fight scene, actors often wave weapons at the camera to highlight the 3D stereoscopic effect. This simple and rough lens processing technology was a common way in 3D at that time.

Although there are many big names and some wonderful scenes in the film, what impressed Pigou most was the scene where Thirteen Sisters broke into the hall of Nengren Temple. As the organs in the temple were triggered, Feijian and hidden weapons were ejected from the Buddhist altar. Thirteen sisters can only rely on their agile skills to dodge.

The design of this action play is quite creative, and it is also very enjoyable to present it to the audience with 3D effects.

In fact, with the popularity of mainland TV stations, the cinema market has also been greatly affected, and going to the cinema to see a movie is no longer a consumption habit. 1986' s thirteen sisters of chivalrous women is a mature work in the declining period of mainland martial arts films.
