Overview of Yingde Bay Yingde Bay

Before the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Dawan was divided into three towns: Jiao Gang, Shi Lian and Gudao. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the administrative system was merged into Greater Bay Area. (including Jiang Ying in Boluo, Qingkeng and Yangshan counties), 1957, the area was merged into Dawan Township. 1958 When the People's Commune was founded, it was renamed as Upstream Commune and later changed to Dawan Commune (1987 changed to Dawan Town now).

There is no allusion to the origin of the place name Dawan. Lianjiang, Xiaojiang, a clear and green river, turns from north to south at the foot of Damiao Mountain and turns into a wide half-moon bend. This is the origin of the name "big bowl". When Qin Shihuang unified the six countries to pacify Lingnan and built Nanhai County, Dawan was under the jurisdiction of Nanhai County. In the sixth year of Han Ding Yuan, Dawan was under the jurisdiction of Mianxian County. (A.D. 13 14) Mianyang was merged into Yingzhou, and since then, Dawan has been under Yingzhou's jurisdiction. (A.D. 1364) Yingzhou was reduced to Yingde County, and since then, Dawan has been under the jurisdiction of Yingde.

Dawan Town has a long history. Hundreds of years ago, immigrants from Nanhai, Sanshui, Xingning, Fogang, Yangshan and Lianxian in the province settled here to make a living and build market towns. There is a Jinshan Ancestral Temple in Dawan, which was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, "comparable to Nanhai Ancestral Temple". There is a "Wenying Academy" built in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. The Zhonghua Temple, which covers an area of more than 500 square meters, was built during the apocalypse of the Ming Dynasty (a new village has been built since the founding of the People's Republic of China). In addition, there are a series of settings such as the pawnshop of the Chamber of Commerce, Zhaitang and Guangzhou Guild Hall. This fully reflects the past cultural history of Dawan.

Dawan is located on Pingshan, which is alluvial by Lianjiang River, surrounded by mountains, with a river in the middle, 60 kilometers away from yingde city and Yangshan City. As a midway port of Lianjiang waterway in history, it had a prosperous period. Together with cotton in the south, it is also an important town in the west of England, Fuzhou.

In the 1980s, boats surrounded the Dawan River and whistles sounded on the river. There are many buildings in the town, and people come and go. Dawan people have a strong commercial atmosphere, many commercial places and many street stalls. In every market, the city is crowded and sweaty. Famous local products include soy sauce, fermented soybean, tea, and Jiabao brand peanut oil squeezed locally (now moved to Wen Ming Street in this town), all of which are "delicious". However, it is a pity that the second half of the sentence "a dish is a big sister" can't be seen.

The old city is by the river, the pier is mottled and old, and the streets are narrow and wet. There is a T-street narrow enough for people to cross their arms. However, more quaint elegance is preserved here. The house has obvious architectural style in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and there is a canal flowing in front of the street-facing house. The pavement is paved with large green stones, some polished and smooth, some criss-crossed. How much historical dust and dust does bluestone have to engrave, and how many dynasties have it experienced? Walking on Qingshi Street seems like a lifetime ago. I can vaguely imagine the scene of merchants gathering and literati weaving, and I feel a little back to the past. Everyone calls it "furong town". Of course, it is easy to say which place is like "Tofu Shop" and which place is like "Diaojiaolou".
