Five major reservoirs in Luoyang

Xiaolangdi Reservoir, Luhun Reservoir, Guxian Reservoir, Xixiayuan Reservoir and Qianping Reservoir.

1. Xiaolangdi Reservoir: Xiaolangdi Reservoir is located in the north of Luoyang City, and Xiaolangdi Dam is located in Xiaolangdi Village, Mengjin County. Xiaolangdi Reservoir covers an area of 296 square kilometers, equivalent to the size of more than 40 West Lakes.

2. Luhun Reservoir: Luhun Reservoir is located on the Yi River in Songxian County, south of Luoyang. Luhun Reservoir can not only regulate the water volume of the Yi River, but also irrigate fields in Luoyang, Zhengzhou and Pingdingshan, benefiting local people.

3. Guxian Reservoir: Guxian Reservoir is located in Guxian Town, Luoning County, in the middle reaches of Luohe River. The water quality here is very good, reaching the second class drinking water standard. It is another "water tank" for Luoyang people after Luhun Reservoir.

4. Xixiayuan Reservoir: the supporting project of Xiaolangdi Water Control Project on the Yellow River, located on the main stream of the Yellow River at the downstream of Xiaolangdi dam site 16 km. Across the Yellow River, the north bank is located in Geely District, Luoyang City, and the south bank is located in Mengjin County, Luoyang City.

5. Qianping Reservoir: Located in Ruyang County, about 80 kilometers away from Luoyang City, on the main stream of the North Ruhe River, with a total storage capacity of 593 million m3, it is known as the "first dam of Huaihe River".
