Who designed the Iranian Embassy in Sanlitun, Beijing? Very elegant building!

The designer's name is Hossein Amanat, and/kloc-0 was born in Teheran in 1942. He is an Iranian-Canadian and a Baha 'i.

He is the most famous architect in contemporary Iran. His works include Tehran's landmark Azadi Tower (formerly known as the King's Memorial Tower, built in 197 1), which is also the most famous contemporary architecture in Iran.

Before emigrating to Canada, his other famous works included: the main building of Sharif University of Technology (Iran's leading institution of higher learning in science and engineering, located in Tehran), the main building of the Department of Economics and Management of Tehran University, and the Iranian Embassy in China. These works are full of Persian traditional styles and modern architectural features.

After immigrating to Canada, his works include Baha' I Arc in Haifa, Israel, Jiang 'an Library of Sichuan University, Media Library of Beijing Broadcasting Institute, and many Baha 'i churches around the world.
