My husband and I came here with our son and daughter in the1980s, enjoying the freedom that we couldn't enjoy in China at that time. They like rock music and pop culture, American culture. But when they grow up, it's time for them to start thinking about getting married. At that time, we hope they can know more about their own culture. But this is where we encounter some problems.

We try to tell our children to be proud of their traditional culture, but it is difficult. As you may know, we are immigrants. When we communicate with children in Chinese, they always answer us in English. They like rock music and American pop culture. But when they reach the age of marriage, we intend to let them know more about their own culture, but this is also the problem.

My son, he said he was not ready to get married, and he already had a sweetheart. But she is an American woman, not from China. Nobody is bad. But I told him, "What happened to women in China?" But I think he will change his mind soon.
