After graduating from junior high school, Ma Yongdong signed up for the army and served in the production camp of Kashgar Army Division in Xinjiang. After returning home from the army, I worked in Wangwa Coal Mine, 50 kilometers away from home, and bought a house with a loan. Married Lan Xiuying from the same village. One year after marriage, they had a son. In June and July of 20 13, Ma Yongdong suddenly resigned and returned to his hometown.

The cause of the attack

The young couple quarreled constantly, and Lan Xiuying was often beaten, which led to family conflicts. As a last resort, she had to hide back to her family.
