The water temperature changes with the depth, with the most significant change in July and August. For more than 40 years, the people of Chun 'an, like caring for their own eyes, have carefully maintained the first-class water quality here and created a first-class ecological environment. Qiandao Lake has 12 water quality monitoring sections and 18 monitoring points, and the water quality of the whole lake is monitored and analyzed regularly every year and month. The monitoring results for many years show that the main physical and chemical indexes of water quality in Qiandao Lake area meet the first-class water standard of GB3838-2002 "Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water", and the water quality is very good. According to the bulletin of surface water quality of rivers, lakes and reservoirs regularly issued by the State Environmental Protection Administration, the comprehensive evaluation of Qiandao Lake water body is poor eutrophication, and it is one of the rare high-quality water bodies with extremely low eutrophication in China.

At present, the average sediment concentration in Qiandao Lake is only 0.007 kg per cubic meter, and the visibility in sunny days can reach 9- 14 meters. Lake water can be drunk directly without any treatment.

Closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation, Chun 'an people have beautiful lakes. At the beginning of the lake, Qiandao Lake was characterized by barren hills and mountains, and the forest coverage rate in the lake area was only 23.8%. From 1963, Chun 'an began to close the mountain to facilitate afforestation. Up to now, the county has closed hillsides to facilitate afforestation 1.7 million mu, implemented 52,000 mu of returning farmland to forests, and designated 2.065 million mu of ecological public welfare forests, with a forest coverage rate of 73.9%, including 95% in the lake area. The amount of sediment flowing into the reservoir area has decreased from 8.03 million tons to 0.42 million tons now.

Since 1998, the main waters of Qiandao Lake have been closed to fishing in our county. At the same time, according to the biological characteristics that silver carp and bighead carp are herbivorous species and algae are the main food, the county organizes to release more than 6 million silver carp and bighead carp fry to Qiandao Lake every year, and strictly controls the catch. This 6 million silver carp and bighead carp released every year, like a total annihilation army, devoured a large number of plankton such as algae, which played a great role in purifying the water quality of Qiandao Lake.

By controlling pollution, the people of Chun 'an have protected a beautiful lake. Comprehensively rectify the original industrial pollution, shut down and transfer more than 30 polluting enterprises, and take the lead in realizing "one control and two standards" in the province; Strictly control new pollution, formulate the development orientation of "green" industries, and implement a strict one-vote veto system for environmental protection approval; Fully promote urban sewage treatment, invest more than 65 million yuan to establish 2 16 sewage treatment facilities, with a treatment capacity of 78%; At the same time, strengthen rural non-point source pollution control, actively carry out lake garbage salvage, vigorously develop eco-tourism industry, and continuously strengthen the protection of Qiandao Lake.

At present, there are 12 water quality monitoring sections and 18 monitoring points in Qiandao Lake, and the water quality of the whole lake is regularly monitored and analyzed on a monthly basis all year round. The monitoring results for many years show that the main physical and chemical indexes of water quality in Qiandao Lake area meet the first-class water standard of Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002) I), and the water quality is excellent. According to the monitoring results in 2006, the ammonia nitrogen in the whole lake is 0.03mg/L (Class I standard ≤ 0.1.5 mg/L); Permanganate index 1.53 mg/L (Class I standard ≤ 2 mg/l); The average transparency of the whole lake is 7 meters, and the highest is 15 meters. The monitoring values of eight indicators such as heavy metals all year round are lower than the detection limit stipulated by the state.

According to the calculation standard of water eutrophication, the water eutrophication index of Qiandao Lake in 2006 was 29.04, making it one of the two major lakes and reservoirs in China (the other is Danjiangkou Reservoir). According to the water quality monitoring results in July this year, the overall water quality of Qiandao Lake remains stable, and it is one of the best lakes and reservoirs in China at present. Highway: there is a first-class highway in the northeast, 05 provincial highway Chun' an-Fuyang Deng Xin, and then transfer to National Highway 320 to Hangzhou; There is an expressway from Hangzhou to Qiandao Lake in the southeast, leading to the expressway network in the direction of Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangxi and Fujian. In the north, there is a second-class Wen Chang highway, Wenchang in Chun 'an-Changhua in Lin 'an, which meets Hangzhou-Huizhou Expressway and goes straight to Huangshan. The southwest passes through the second-class highway Chun 'an to Hua Kai, extends to Quzhou, and is connected with the 205 National Road to Anhui.
