What are the ways of EA career evaluation for Australian immigration engineering majors?

The occupational types assessed by EA can be divided into the following four categories (see the end of the article for a complete list of occupations).

Professional engineer: 16 years' education, including 4 years of engineering.

Engineering and technical personnel: 15 years education, including 3 years of engineering and technical undergraduate.

Engineering associate: 14 years education, including 2 years engineering diploma.

Engineering Manager: Bachelor degree or above, 5 years or above senior management experience, and organization chart with recommendation letter is required.

EA assessment requirements

1. IELTS requires no less than 6 points (g or a) for each item, valid for 2 years.

Note: English applicants who have completed an Australian undergraduate engineering degree and completed a master's or doctoral degree in an Australian university can apply for assessment without taking IELTS.

2. Bachelor degree or above, with a bachelor's degree in engineering, and the major studied by the undergraduate is highly related to the nominated occupation.

EA application category

1. Non-recognized education (3 professional project reports CDR are required)

China has a bachelor's degree in engineering, which is assessed according to this type.

2. Recognized Australian education

Applicable to the following engineering qualifications:

Note: These qualifications are only applicable to undergraduate engineering degrees, not to engineering degrees or graduate degrees with lower academic qualifications.

EA application process

1. First log in to myPortal, you need to register your own account on this system, and then select and fill in relevant information according to your own situation (Note: after selecting the evaluation category, you can't modify it or make mistakes).

2. In the corresponding steps, you will be asked to upload the corresponding supporting documents. All documents only need color scanning of the original.

3. After completing the upload process, it is the link of payment. It is recommended to choose credit card payment method, and finally click Submit.

4. After the application is completed, you can see the relevant notice in the "My Home Page" menu and track the relevant status of your application.

5. If your application information and materials are qualified, EA will send you an evaluation result letter through the email provided by you after the evaluation. If the application needs to be revised or supplemented, EA's case officer will ask you to revise the information or supplement the materials.

EA evaluation validity period

Validity of engineer evaluation: it is valid for life, but it is only valid for 3 years for immigrants. If it is more than 3 years, the original should be sent to EA to issue a new evaluation letter.

Material Description: The certificate issued by China institution must be notarized in both Chinese and English in China Notary Office; The certificate issued by an Australian institution must have the original and a copy of the certificate, and ask the Australian Justice of the Peace to sign the copy; Passports can be of any kind.
