Conditions for Japanese immigrants to apply for a permanent residence visa
Article 1 Requirements for Permanent Residence Visa of Japanese Immigrants
In most cases, you need an organizer (company or some business-related organization) or an inviter (commonly known as a "visa guarantor") to get a visa in Japan, such as a school with a student visa or an employer with a work visa. There are 27 kinds of visas in Japan, each with different requirements and authorization activities, which can be divided into three categories: work visas, non-work visas and family-related visas. A person can only get one visa at a time, so if you are eligible for more than one visa (such as engineer visa and spouse visa), you need to choose a visa type among your choices.
How to apply for a permanent resident visa:
Good behavior (no criminal record, paying taxes, etc.) );
At present, the stay time is relatively long (3 years in most cases);
Pay taxes to the official Japanese social security agency within the prescribed time limit;
There is a guarantor (Japanese national or permanent resident visa holder) to support the application;
Have enough assets or the ability to live independently (stable job, enough savings, etc.). );
Living in Japan for more than 6 months within 12 months before and during the application process;
Meet all the requirements of the current visa status, and if it is a work visa holder, keep a proper job;
Have lived in Japan continuously for 10 years, including living on a work visa for 5 years or obtaining residence according to family status (Japanese nationals, spouses of long-term residents, etc. ).
In addition, the requirement of continuous residence 10 years will be shortened in the following cases:
Children of Japanese nationals and permanent residents who have lived in Japan continuously for more than one year;
Holders of long-term residence visas or refugee status who have lived in Japan continuously for more than 5 years;
The applicant scored 80 points in the application form during his stay in the past year;
Spouses of Japanese nationals and permanent residents have been married for more than 3 years and have lived continuously 1 year or more;
The applicant scored 70 points in the relevant calculation table and has been applying during the last 3 years of residence;
A person who has made great contributions to Japan in the fields of diplomacy, society, economy and culture, and has lived in Japan for more than 5 years continuously and is recognized in Japan.
In order to successfully apply for a permanent visa, you must provide proof of resident tax for a specified number of years (obtained at the local municipal government/district government), which means that if your income is low in any year within the specified period (due to unemployment and other reasons), your application may be rejected. In addition, these days, the Immigration Bureau often asks if you have participated in Japan's medical insurance plan. Without such proof, your application failed. Applications for permanent residents may take a long time to process (usually 4 to 8 months). If your application for permanent residence is approved, you still need to renew your existing visa.
Extended reading: the basic requirement of Japanese immigrants' naturalization
I. Residence requirements
Immigration is required to be supervised by the Immigration Bureau. To apply for naturalization, you need to ensure that you have lived in Japan for more than 5 years. Of course, if you leave briefly on the way, you only need to have a legal departure certificate.
Second, the age requirement.
Those who apply directly need to be over 20 years old, which is the age limit for Japanese adults. Those under 20 years old can submit their applications with their parents without extra exams.
Third, personality requirements
First of all, we will examine your performance in China. This will also be evaluated when submitting an immigration application. The materials you need to prepare are very simple, just show the certificate of no crime stamped by the police station.
Then there is everyone's performance in Japan. After all, five years will leave various records, review everyone's economic and social activities, including tax compliance, and conduct detailed investigations.
Four. fund demand
Applicants also need to produce sufficient funds or income certificates, including their own savings and working wages, which can show whether the applicant has enough funds to make a living and whether it will bring a burden to society.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) nationality requirement
Japan does not recognize dual citizenship, which means that when you apply for Japanese citizenship for holidays, you must give up your citizenship. The specific operation is to apply for Japanese nationality at the Japanese Embassy first, and then go to the China Embassy to withdraw it after being approved.
Background requirements of intransitive verbs
Applicants are not allowed to join various illegal organizations, which is a very important aspect when conducting background checks, because there are many non-governmental organizations in Japan, which may be in opposition to the government, thus affecting national security.
