Where does Danjiangkou reservoir area belong?

The distribution of light, heat and water in the area is obviously uneven. The Shiyan water system in the reservoir area is developed, with dense river network and 2489 rivers. Hanjiang River enters Hubei Province from Lantankou, Yunxi County, and flows through Yunxi County, Yunxian County, zhangwan district and danjiangkou city, with a transit length of 2 16km. The main tributaries are bounded by the Han River, with Taohe River (flowing into Danjiang River), Quyuan River, Tianhe and Qian Qian in the north. Jiangnan has blocked rivers, Guanshan River, Jianhe River, Langhe River, Shending River and Surabaya.

The reserve is located in the transition zone between Daba Mountain and Qinling Mountain, and the north and south sides belong to Wudang Mountain and Qinling Mountain. Abundant wildlife resources and complex geographical elements constitute the transitional characteristics of the intersection of north and south flora. It plays an irreplaceable role in resisting floods, controlling pollution, regulating climate, protecting biodiversity, protecting water bodies and beautifying the environment. In particular, Danjiang Reservoir, as the water source area of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, has attracted worldwide attention. The construction and development of protected areas will provide good opportunities and conditions for optimizing the natural ecological environment system and the sustainable development of social economy in the reservoir area.
