Immigration landing documents
CIC, the Canadian Immigration Bureau, has a special explanation for this situation. Residents who have obtained PR status but have not obtained Maple Leaf Card will return to Canada after leaving the country:
To enter Canada by plane, ship, bus and other public transport, you need to apply for travel documents from Canadian embassies and consulates abroad in advance (for foreign permanent residents). In other words, you can go back to China first, bring all your immigration materials and apply in embassies and consulates in China. Official description entrance:

Self-driving private cars entering Canada only need to have a landing record (IMM 1000) or a permanent residence confirmation (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688). In this case, it is not necessary to apply for a travel document.
If you have enough time after returning home, it is not too late to apply for a travel document. Do it as soon as you get back to China. Don't worry. I hope the above information is helpful to you. Remember to take the answer if you are satisfied ~ Have a nice summer vacation:)
