Macanese (Macaense is also called Filhos da terra)

The Portuguese people and their descendants who were born and raised in Macau, especially those who have immigrated to Macau since the Ming Dynasty and have been in Macau for a long time Resident Portuguese people. Many of these families have lived in Macau for more than 300 years; mixed-race people and their descendants born in Macau after the Portuguese married people from Asia or other nationalities;

Chinese residents of Macau who have Portuguese citizenship are generally not regarded as Macanese.
