Recently, Vancouver and Toronto, British Columbia (BC) and Ontario, which are the first choice for international students, have successively relaxed the immigration restrictions for students with master's degree or above in PNP immigration:

International students who have obtained doctorates and master's degrees in natural science, medicine and applied science in BC Province can apply for PNP immigration directly without obtaining employment certificates from Canadian employers. This three-year pilot project will help attract more international students with doctoral and master's degrees to work in BC province, and enable universities in this province to attract more high-quality students from all over the world, thus enriching their research strength. In addition, BC has also increased the time limit for international students with college education or above to apply for PNP immigration, from one year after graduation to two years, and increased the occupational categories that meet the application requirements.

Recently, the Ontario government has also given the green light to graduate students. According to the New Deal, graduate students can apply for immigration directly, without jobs or employers. I believe many China students will benefit from this new plan. At the same time, there is no restriction on students' course selection, but the IELTS score must reach 7. In addition, single applicants need to deposit 1. 1 10,000 Canadian dollars, and married spouses need to deposit10.2 million Canadian dollars.

There are three streams in the international student category:

1) allows Ontario employers to recruit international students who graduated from publicly funded Canadian colleges or universities in technical positions;

2) PhD Graduate Stream allows doctoral graduates from public universities in Ontario to apply for permanent residence in Ontario;

3) The pilot postgraduate program allows graduates of public universities in Ontario to apply for permanent residence in Ontario.

As Canada's two major education provinces, BC and Ontario account for 80% of Canada's educational resources, and the two provinces have successively introduced such immigration policies that are beneficial to international students. It can be seen that Canadian immigrants are more and more inclined to international students.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba have recently become hot spots for PNP immigrants in Canada. Comparing the PNP program in Manitoba with similar programs in other provinces, during the period of 1999-2008, more than half of the people who immigrated to Canada through PNP program went to Manetho, and achieved remarkable results. 85% PNP immigrants can find jobs within three months after their arrival, and 83% of them can find their own jobs or jobs related to their own banks. However, experts caution that careful consideration is needed when selecting projects in these provinces. There is a special restriction on provincial nomination: applicants who nominate skilled immigrants can only live and work in a specific province for a certain period of time. This is particularly noteworthy. After applying for PN P, many overseas students in Canada secretly went to prosperous areas such as Toronto. In fact, according to the requirements of Canadian immigration law, these people's visas can be cancelled. According to relevant Canadian sources, the number of cases in which new immigrants nominated by the province were rejected when landing increased sharply, and almost all of them were immigrants from China. An immigrant who landed in Saskatchewan, when his family landed at Vancouver Airport, because the destination of the flight was Vancouver and there was no plan to transfer to Saskatchewan, the immigration officer strongly suspected that he did not want to live in Saskatchewan, and asked the immigrant that he had bought a house in Vancouver and planned to stay in Vancouver for one month before going to Saskatchewan. In this regard, the immigration officer did not believe that immigrants would live in Saskatchewan if they bought a house in Vancouver, and cancelled the immigration qualification of the immigrant permanent resident on the spot. The immigrant family had to return to China. Moreover, after the promulgation of the new federal investment immigration policy, such cases have risen sharply.

PNP plans to relax the rules for some students who graduated from junior colleges and went to Canada to study for postgraduate diplomas. You can immigrate as long as you find a job, and you don't have to have a master's degree. It only takes 6-8 months for PNP international students to immigrate. For international students who have graduated and applied for a work permit for one or two years, it is an efficient way to apply for provincial nomination directly in Canada. PNP plans to expand the scope of international students' qualifications, and at the same time, it also adjusts the threshold of employers. The scope of employers' qualifications is extended to small and medium-sized enterprises in all regions of the country, providing a civilian opportunity for international students to apply for PNP.

According to past experience, immigration policy and study abroad policy often interact with each other. Therefore, the relaxation of PNP policy in Canadian provinces may lead to further relaxation of visa restrictions for studying in Canada. Although the prospect of direct immigration after master's degree is good, the threshold of Canadian master's degree is high, and applicants must make full preparations under the guidance of professional teachers as soon as possible.
