Conditions for permanent residence in the UK

Legal analysis: 1. Have lived legally in the UK for more than 10 years;

2. Holders of work visas, high-tech immigrant visas and entrepreneurial immigrant visas have lived in the UK for more than 5 years;

3. Holding a spouse visa and being married to a British citizen or resident for more than 2 years;

4. People who are granted political asylum or humanitarian protection apply when their visas expire.

If you meet these conditions and pass the life test in the UK, you can basically get a permanent residence permit. In addition to the above restrictions on permanent residence permits, permanent residence can also be suspended or revoked. Therefore, if you really want to enjoy the rights of citizens, you must apply for naturalization after obtaining permanent residence status.
