How about M-65 clothing?
The style of M- 195 1 jacket basically continues the design of M- 1943 jacket, but the front of the jacket is zipped to open and close, which has excellent windproof performance. Then the M- 1965 field coat is introduced, and the collar and cuffs are bonded by hook and loop. Since then, the M-65 has become the standard equipment for troops stationed all over the United States.
M65 is characterized by no complicated decoration, very convenient to wear and very durable. In addition, it has the ability to adapt to various environments. These conditions make M65 an excellent first choice whether it is used as field equipment in winter or even as a daily coat. You can get a little perm before you wear it, and you can wear it! In order for you to choose the right product, please measure the dimensions of all parts of your body according to the correct measurement method, and then compare it with the size standard of the product, and then you can choose the product that suits you.
M65 is characterized by no complicated decoration, very convenient to wear and very durable. The fabric is nylon-cotton blended satin cloth, which is very strong and tight, wind-proof and rain-proof. The lining is made of polyester-cotton blended fabric, which has good air permeability and thermal conductivity and will not be stuffy. In addition, it has the ability to adapt to various environments. These conditions make M65 an excellent first choice whether it is used as field equipment in winter or even as a daily coat. You can get a little perm before you wear it, and you can wear it! M65-the most famous windbreaker, which is windproof, rainproof and breathable. Since 1965 was put into production, even in extremely cold places in Alaska, a M65 with matching cotton bladder can survive the winter. At present, more than 20 countries in the world are producing M65 (including China), but it is recognized that the best manufacturer is Alpha Company of the United States. Of course, its price is also the most expensive.
M65 is a monochrome olive green (OD) produced for the needs of the US military, and two US military standard jungle camouflages. In the early days, all products were in OD color, and the four major services of the United States wore this coat. After 1983, all American clothes were gradually changed to M65 field coats. The OD M65 coating is named COAT COLD WEATHER, and its specification is MIL-C-43455. The official name of Camouflage M65 coat is the woodland camouflage pattern of combat suit, and its specification is MIL-C-44048(MIL is munitions specification).
Since then, M65 has become the standard equipment for garrisons all over the United States, and it has become an era since then. Rambo, the protagonist played by Stallone in the movie First Blood, wears the green M65. With the influence of American foreign military aid and movies, M65 has also spread all over the world. It should also be mentioned here that M65 was designed and manufactured by Alpha Clothing Company headquartered in Tennessee. Although during the 30-year service period of M65, this American army produced several companies, but there is no doubt that Alpha Company is the best among them. The majority of military fans are also proud to own a military version of M65 produced by Alpha and marked with the US Army Contract Number (DLA). M65, there are different differences in different periods. Aluminum zipper was used in 1960s and 1970s, copper zipper was used in 1970s and 1980s, and YKK high-strength plastic zipper was used in 1990s to 200 1.
Military friends often ask how to identify the military version of M65. In fact, it is not difficult. The military version of M65 is made of thick cloth, which is much heavier than the civilian version. Moreover, no matter what period of military version M65, the outer layer has never used scratch-proof cloth, because scratch-proof cloth is thin and has poor warmth retention, so it can only be used as BDU cloth. On most M65, scratch-resistant cloth exists as lining material. At present, Alpha Company no longer produces M65 in China, but the production line has been transferred abroad. For example, Egypt once produced pure cotton M65, but this is a civilian version. It is said that Alpha has also produced M65 in China since 2006, which is also a civilian version.
Compared with the civilian version, the military version is much rougher in workmanship, with many threads and inaccurate wiring, which seems to be a feature. But the military version is full of material. There are several details worth noting:
1, that is, the military version will not have the small label ALPHA of the left chest pocket.
2. No matter the military version or the civilian version, the front metal snap fastener will not be nailed to the fabric of the zipper.
3. There is a cloth belt on the zipper head, which is convenient for pulling. Both the military version and the Alpha civilian version are made of pure cotton.
Material, not nylon material.
4, regardless of the military version of the civilian version, the zipper is on the right side of the clothes.
5, regardless of the military version of the civilian version, the front of the clothes and the lower part of the collar have a button.
6. Both chest bags are long and big rectangles, and the size is quite large. A considerable part of M65' s upper pocket is trapezoidal, but not all M65' s are like this, such as GOLDEN's, whose M65 cover is round, which is also a remarkable feature.
The most effective way to identify whether it is a military version is to look at the internal label of clothes, commonly known as labels. The military version of clothing and equipment issued by the US military has a contract number (DLA). Fake DLA numbers are usually the same. This requires the audience to have considerable experience. With regard to the English abbreviation of the contract number, it is said that the label of M65 was "DSA" 68 years ago and "DLA" after the 1970s. In the 1960s and 1970s, the label of M65 was made of white non-woven fabric, and after 1980s, it was mostly made of military green or white acetate paper. The label will indicate the specific size of the clothes. Another difference between the military version and the civilian version is that there are many sizes, such as XS-S, S-L, MS, ML, LS and so on. The civilian version of M65 will not have such a number. The military version of M65 will indicate the production company on the label, but it will not indicate the place of origin, for example, it will not indicate the American manufacturing (the American version of M65 prefers this label).
One more thing, the single green M65, the military version and the civilian version still have quite obvious differences in color. OG 107 military version is darker in color, while civilian version is lighter in color. During the Vietnam War, the OG 107 of M65 was a little yellow. And all kinds of imitation versions of M65 are green, even dark green similar to China Post.
As for some military friends, they exaggerated the functionality of M65, saying that it can be waterproof and fireproof. Actually, M65 is just an ordinary cold windbreaker, and the fabric is 50% cotton and 50% nylon. All new fabrics have a certain waterproof effect. Note that waterproof here refers to water splashing. After M65 was used for a period of time, the gap between fabric fibers increased and the waterproof effect was lost. Even more ridiculous, it is said that M65 fire fighting is not used in the army, and the army only uses the word "fire resistance". It is reported that the military fire resistance standard is that it can resist combustion at a high temperature of about 500 degrees 12 seconds. Even if there is a fire, it will go out within two seconds after leaving the fire source! How can M65 fabric reach this standard? At present, only NOMEX materials of the US military can meet this standard. But I have never heard of M65 using this material.
Now M65 can be said to be "retired", but M65 has not been swept out of the house, but it is no longer the first-line material that the US military gives priority to purchasing, but belongs to the second-line combat readiness material, that is to say, there is still inventory in the warehouse. In a sense, the military version of M65 is no longer produced. The military versions of M65 were all produced before. The last batch of military version M65 of Alpha Company is Sansha M65 produced for the US military. At present, Alpha's biggest order is the ECWCS field trench coat of the US military, which is also the new generation and the most advanced field trench coat of the US military, made of Gao Ertai X material. Civil version name: G8, also called jacket.
