1. Notes on Entry Visa for Malaysian Immigrants
I. Entry visas
Tourist and business visas are directly issued by Malaysian representative offices abroad, collectively referred to as visa-free; Special visas for work and study must be approved by the General Administration of Immigration and issued by overseas institutions, collectively referred to as visas to be inquired; Entry visas are generally valid for 3 months, but there is no time limit for stay. There are three types of visas:

Second, the entry permit
The entry permit is issued by the port immigration bureau or the General Administration of Immigration. No matter whether they get an entry visa or not, all foreigners who intend to enter the country must obtain an entry permit at the port before entering the country. Travel and business entry permits can be processed immediately upon arrival at the port; Special entry permits such as work and study must be applied at the same time as the entry visa before arriving at the port, and the entry permit stipulates the entry stay period.
Entry permits can be divided into short-term and long-term categories. Short-term permits include tourism, business, temporary employees and experts, while long-term permits include work, internship and study.

2. Matters needing attention when immigrating to Malaysia
I. Visa policy
The premise is that the horse reception travel agency has the authorization of the General Administration of Immigration and has put it on record. Passengers arriving in Tioman Island, Pahang via a third country can apply for a visa on arrival if they can produce a valid return ticket. The types of visas in Malaysia are mainly divided into:
1. Social visa. Issued to China citizens for tourism, visiting relatives and friends and business activities. The validity period is three months, and the stay period is 14 days. The Malaysian Immigration Bureau has cancelled the issuance of business visas to China citizens for one month. Social visa can't be extended, unless you can't return to China in time due to health reasons or flight problems, you can apply for visa extension at the immigration office with a letter of proof issued by the relevant hospital and airline.
2. Work and student visas. To work or study in Malaysia, Malaysian companies or schools must first apply to the Immigration Bureau. After approval, the Malaysian Immigration Bureau will notify the embassies and consulates in the applicant's region to issue social visas. After coming to Malaysia, change the corresponding type of long-term visa at the immigration office. To study at the University of Malaysia, the school should apply to the immigration headquarters; Attending high school and below is examined and approved by the state immigration offices.
3. Visiting visa. Visiting relatives in Malaysia can stay for up to 6 months. Parties who work, study and live in Malaysia (Malaysian citizens married to China citizens) should apply to the Immigration Bureau and provide proof of kinship when applying for a visa.
Visitors who come to Malaysia temporarily must bring at least RM 500 in cash. The Malaysian Immigration Bureau has strict entry requirements for China tourists (individual tourists), especially women under the age of 30. Those who travel to and from Malaysia many times in a short period of time will be repatriated by the original plane. The Malaysian Immigration Bureau has the right to refuse entry to foreigners who have criminal records, have no financial ability and lie about the purpose of coming to Malaysia.
Second, the customs regulations
1. Before entering the country, tourists must declare all dutiable or prohibited articles. The Customs has the right to require passengers to open their luggage and articles for inspection as needed, which is authorized by Article 103 of the Customs Law. There is no tariff on travel between East and West Malaysia. Labuan Island in Sabah and Langkawi Island in Kedah are duty-free zones. Except for imported rubber and petroleum products, there is no need to pay for other items.
2. Green and red channels. Red and green channel systems are used at some ports, especially airports. Those who don't carry any prohibited or dutiable articles go through the green channel and change to the red channel, and take the initiative to declare to the customs staff.
Third, the nationality policy.
Malaysia does not recognize dual citizenship. Malaysia has strict restrictions on the naturalization of foreign citizens. Even if China marries a Malaysian citizen, it will be difficult for China citizens to obtain permanent residence status, let alone Malaysian citizenship. Up to now, a considerable number of people in Malaysia still hold "red registration" (permanent identity documents different from passports). These people were born in China and have settled in Malaysia since independence (1957). Generally speaking, according to the Malaysian Nationality Law, China citizens marry Malaysian citizens, and if the father is a Malaysian citizen, the children born to him have Malaysian nationality; If the woman is a Malaysian citizen, her children born in Malaysia can apply for naturalization, but if they are born in a foreign country, they cannot be naturalized.
Fourth, the public security situation and related matters needing attention
Traveling, studying, working and living in Malaysia are generally more convenient and safer. For those who come to Malaysia, we should pay attention to the following aspects:
1. Watch out for motorcyclists grabbing bags. A considerable number of ordinary people in Malaysia who are not very rich use motorcycles as their main means of transportation. Motorcycles have no special lanes, and they shuttle between cars at a very fast speed. Many China tourists walking on the sidewalk will be forcibly robbed if they don't pay attention to carrying their hands or bags on their shoulders. Because of their speed and strength, they are prone to danger. There are dozens of such cases this year. Tourists from Malaysia are advised not to use long bags when walking in public places.
2. Don't trust others easily. According to the data, some tourists who came to Malaysia on social visas for a short time were deceived by local illegal intermediaries and illegally stayed in Malaysia to find jobs. In the end, their work was not completed, and they spent a lot of agency fees, which led to the tragic experience that their homes could not be returned, and even they were arrested by the police and sent to prison or labor camp.
3. Avoid traveling to remote places. Women should go out together and be vigilant when walking in underground passages, garages or overpasses with few people.
4. Don't abuse the visa. I have been detained for selling goods on a business visa. Some people were accused of working illegally on social and student visas and then sentenced.
Pay attention to carry your travel documents and don't give your passport to others for safekeeping. Precious things are scattered and carried.
6. Enhance the awareness of self-protection, be calm, and deal with problems flexibly and tactfully. If there is an accident, report it to the police station as soon as possible or contact the embassy or consulate as far as possible if you can save yourself.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) Work, study and part-time job in Malaysia.
China citizens who wish to work and study in Malaysia should apply through appropriate channels. The normal procedure is: companies or schools with legal management rights in Malaysia apply for positions in advance to the competent authorities such as the Immigration Bureau. After the position is approved, the Immigration Bureau will notify the embassy or consulate where China citizens are located to issue short-term social visas. After the applicant arrives in Malaysia, he can change his social visa into a work or student visa. At present, the Malaysian government only allows some professionals to work in China, and its labor market, such as construction and service industries, is not open to Malaysian citizens. China citizens should be vigilant to prevent being cheated by illegal intermediaries between China and Malaysia, so as not to cause huge economic and spiritual losses. Malaysian police, Immigration Bureau and other departments deal with the problem of illegal workers in China severely, and as long as they are arrested, they will be sent to prison or detention camp.
