German humanistic spirit

I studied German in college and went to Germany almost every year after work, so I should be qualified to answer this question. In my opinion, Germany's humanistic spirit mainly has two points: one is a high sense of independent thinking, and the other is that innovation is based on a high degree of adherence to tradition. I say this because I live in the history and reality of Germany. If you want to write a paper, I suggest you start with German history. If you just want to know, I will give you my own personal example: I once watched TV and said that there were too many illegal immigrants in Germany. I think they should hate illegal immigrants. As a result, German friends think that there is insufficient labor force in Germany, so it is necessary to emigrate. But how to accept immigrants should be discussed, so the discussion began, completely unaffected by the news (maybe the news just told a fact). This is Germany, a great nation with independent thinking!
