The Creative Background of History of Liuli Palace
The early Kampong dynasty in Myanmar was the heyday of the feudal dynasty in Myanmar. The domestic situation is stable, the economy is developed, the national strength is enriched, and the territory reaches the widest point in history. After the king of Baki Daoguo ascended the throne, although Britain launched the first British-Burmese war during this period, Myanmar was defeated first and ceded land for compensation. However, Bakidao did not give up in his heart, and he was still ambitious, hoping that one day he could overcome this great humiliation and restore and expand the inheritance of his ancestors.
It was in this situation that King Baki Wang Dao summoned the exorcist, Dogabin exorcist, consulting ministers Mahada Martinjian and Wu Yao, imperial palace officials Janice and Shi Wupu, brahmin scholars Yasawa and Gumudia who were in charge of the coronation ceremony, imperial palace officials wuyue, Shi Wuluji and Shi Wuanda, imperial palace minister Cao Hou and minister of civil affairs Xin Zhan. He personally supervised the war and ordered them to write Myanmar Memorabilia by referring to various historical books, classics, inscriptions, archives, Buddhist classics and Myanmar's poems such as Du Ya, Aegean and Mao Gong. Because it was written in Liuli Palace, it was named History of Liuli Palace.
Creative process
1829, Bakidao (also translated as Meng Bi), the monarch of the Bombay Dynasty in Myanmar, ordered the compilation of History of Liuli Palace in order to update the historical records to the latest date. Judging from the history of Liuli Palace itself, the reason why King Bakidao decided to revise the history was because Bakidao saw various historical records of Myanmar at that time, and the contents were contradictory. "There are different opinions, complicated contents and different opinions." Therefore, he summoned some monks and scholars to "Bai Bao Mosaic Glass Palace" and ordered them to "study the history of various ancient books and study inscriptions", which is the source of the book's compilation. According to Japanese scholars' research, the specific compilation time began on May 3, 829 (Myanmar calendar 1 19 1 year in March, 1 year), but the completion time was not accurately recorded, which was about 1832.
Later, when Man Tong was in power from 1853 to 1878, he ordered ministers to revise and continue the second part at Liuli Palace. After the collapse of the Kampong Dynasty, Wu Ding, an assistant minister of the former dynasty, revised and continued writing twice in 1905 and 1922, until 1885, when the British captured the king in tin robe and Kampong Dynasty was destroyed. The first history of Liuli Palace was published under the supervision of the Privy Council of the Pound Dynasty. 1936, Wu and his children Du Puwaqin and Wu Lamang asked Master Unichotuo to revise their treasured manuscripts, and then they were officially printed and published. That is, the three-volume Burmese version of History of Liuli Palace circulated today. In the second part, there are two sequels, which were later officially printed and published. They are called "The History of the Palace List Dynasty", that is, the sequel of "The History of Liuli Palace".
