Why is Xihua Road called "Immigrant City"

Xihua Road is located in Liwan District, west of Guangzhou. Northwest-southeast. It starts from Renmin North Road in the east and reaches the railway side in the west. In the east, it was called the immigrant city in the early Qing Dynasty. It was named after the Qing government forced the coastal residents of Panyu, Xin 'an and Xiangshan to move here, and later renamed Yimin City. 1933 was expanded into a road and named Xihua Road. Edit this section of Xihua Road, also known as "Yimin City". Yimin City actually refers to the eastern section of Xihua Road. At the beginning of the Qing army's entry into the customs, that is, around 1650, although the Qing dynasty controlled several provinces along the eastern coast, many anti-Qing movements broke out in several provinces along the southeast coast. Especially in Chaoshan area of Guangdong Province and Minnan area of Fujian Province, anti-Qing Rightists are surging, and they even joined forces with Zheng Chenggong of Taiwan Province to resist the rule of Qing Dynasty. In order to prevent the coastal people from contacting Zheng Chenggong's tribe, the Qing court carried out the outrageous and unreasonable policy of "encircling Christina's wild land", starting from Liaoning in the northeast and drawing all the way to Guangxi (near the Vietnamese border). This boundary line just passes through Lianhua Mountain in Panyu. The Qing dynasty stipulated that anyone outside this boundary line must move into dozens of miles within three days, otherwise the consequences will be at your own risk. Then, the residents of Panyu, Zhongshan, Dongguan and Baoan in Guangdong are just outside the boundary. For this migration, I don't know how many families have been displaced and separated. Wherever the Qing soldiers went, they carried out the "three-light policy" and exposed their ugly faces. After some immigrants fled to Guangzhou, they started paddling and other industries in Ximenkou and Renmin North Road, and gradually became a market. Because these people who do business and buy and sell are immigrants, they are called "immigrant cities". Later, this incident was learned by the Qing Dynasty. In order to cover up the crimes committed, the homonym of the word "migration" was changed to the word "appropriate", and a stone tablet with the words "Yimin City" was carved and stood at the market gate. In modern times, Xihua Road was turned into a road, and the stone tablet was transferred to the permanent collection of Guangzhou Museum. Now, if you visit zhenhai tower in Yuexiu Park, you will notice the existence of the stone tablet when you board that platform.
