Family Immigration Schedule, Relative Immigration Applications in 2004
Sharing the whole process of F3 immigrant visa P1/P2/P3 stage (immigration of married children of U.S. citizens)
I am an F3 immigrant visa applicant on January 10, 2001. Currently waiting for the interview. I received an email from NVC on June 9, 2009, and received the DS3032 form and a request for a $70 handling fee. Since I have sent inquiries to NVC by email before, I suggest you find a way to notify NVC’s email address. The first is convenience, and the second is speed. The DS3032 form was sent by EMS the next day, and the handling fee was paid online. EMS mail arrived in the United States in 5 days. The handling fee was checked online on the third day and was paid successfully. At this time, you need to print a receipt from the Internet, called DOCUMENT COVER SHEET. This receipt must be printed and needs to be sent back to NVC. When the query was successful, a link was given online to provide guidance on how to proceed with the next step. At this time I started preparing my notarization materials. On June 13, I received an email from NVC asking me to pay the visa fee. (My family’s names are listed above) I also submitted it online. On June 15, I printed the receipt for the visa fee online. From June 12th to July 2nd, I prepared the following materials and sent them out on July 3rd. 1. Our notarized documents (birth notarization, marriage notarization, notary notarization) 2. A copy of our passport (only copy one page with photo) 3. The DS-230 form we filled out. (Each part must be filled in. Sign the first part of the form, but do not sign the last part of the second part.) 4. Complete the supplementary material form (fill in Chinese) 5. Two visa photos for each of us (US visa photo 50*50) 6 , the barcode generated after payment (barcode with name and file number, generated after paying the online fee) should be noted: the GUZ number must be written in pencil on the upper right corner of each document. It is best to write your name and GUZ number on the back of the photo. Later, I made a phone call and found out that NVC received my materials on July 7th. Since we asked relatives in the United States to be our joint guarantor, the joint guarantor and my father's guarantee were submitted later. Because my relatives in the United States were very busy, they sent the relevant guarantee letter and tax bill to my father on July 28. My father sent the guarantee letter to NVC on July 31st. On August 13th, I received a reply from NVC. I originally thought it was a notice, but in fact it was asking us to supplement the materials. There is a CHECK LIST inside, saying that the identity certificate of the joint guarantor is missing. Now we are waiting for the joint guarantor to provide us with supplementary materials. From June 9th to August 13th, more than two months, our experience is that some of the materials are sent from China. Except for the notarization of unsentenced documents, there is no validity period for this part of the materials, so they can be prepared in advance. The DS-230 form is downloaded from the Internet, but it cannot be saved. It can only be printed directly after filling it out. You can print a blank form first and fill it out by yourself. Once it is filled in, there will be no problem, and then you can print it out from the downloaded form. The advantage is that it is guaranteed to be filled in once and printed once to make it successful. (Later I found out that I can save it locally and fill it out.) The financial guarantee form is sent from the United States. The mailing address is slightly different from the address where documents are sent in China. You must pay special attention when sending it. In addition, there is a check list online for the guarantee form prepared by the joint guarantor. You must check it yourself before mailing it. Make sure all the materials are complete before sending it out. Because it takes about 10-15 days for NVC to respond from receipt of materials to review. If materials are missing, it will take up to 20 days from supplementary materials to NVC to review materials again. Very time consuming. The above is my little experience, I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Thanks again to Dida for bringing us such a great platform. Receive help from others and give back to Tick Tock people.
